Shamrock Kisses by Serena Pier

Writer: Amie DeeAmie Dee

-Blurb-

Am I going to get lucky? Maybe if the hunky nerd I met yesterday takes me up on my invite to attend High Five's St. Paddy's Day party …

Rachel Wagner, who’s sworn off dating apps, is the last single one in her friend group. Focused on running her thriving cleaning business in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, the thirty-one-year-old is caught off guard when she stumbles upon a bearded nerd while cleaning her biggest client’s lake house.

Patrick Nowak, a reclusive cat-loving hacker, prefers code to conversation and planned to spend the St. Patrick’s Day weekend out of Chicago enjoying a digital detox at his friend's lake house. But when Rachel, a confident brunette who seems way out of his league, invites him to a local bar's St. Paddy's party, his anxiety just might prevent him from taking her up on the offer.

In a game of attraction and vulnerability, neither of them is prepared for just how much their lives can change in a day.

-Favorite Quotes-

"I'll be your good boy.. spoiling you, always. But I'll also be the guy who pins you against a wall and has my way with you."

“Patrick is a nerd in the streets and f*cking nasty in the sheets…”

“Well, you look like the mood board of my dream man.”

-My Review-

This was a super cute Novella!  I originally reached out on social media to see if I could find a reverse age gap trope book since I am dating a cutie that is super younger than I am.  While the age gap in the story is not close to being the same to ours, this story is still super cute and I loved all of it!

Serena’s writing is very good, descriptive but tasteful.  A major cheers to the proofreader and editor because not one error was found on my part.  Granted, it is the day after DST and I am exhausted!

This is a bit harder to rate on my PixiLit naughtiness ranking scale, because there were definitely heated scenes, which yummy and I am sooo doing that with boyfriend, but they aren’t exactly s*x either.  Let’s say that you can read this with the kids around BUT still may need to close that book quickly still!
